Emily Armitage
I am 25 years old and I grew up just outside of Baltimore, Maryland. I was adopted from Seoul, South Korea when I was six months old. I have been heavily into music since elementary school and have been going to shows since then. I took a point and shoot camera to all those shows with me when I was younger and have always been interested in documenting things with my friends. I have VLOG series on YouTube that documents the adventures of my friends and I while we followed several different tours such as R5, Warped Tour, and more. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Media Communication Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in December 2017.
I got my first photo pass on the 2016 Vans Warped Tour when I signed up for Lisa Johnson's TEI class then received passes for other dates from friends on the tour. I built my portfolio on Warped Tour and began shooting and writing (unpaid) for my first outlet, Salazen Media in late 2016. I reviewed my first album, The Broken by Youth in Revolt with Salazen and had my first interview with Chasing Safety.  In May 2017, I began shooting for Blacknoise.Us in addition to Salazen which eventually disbanded in early 2018. I joined the UnClear Magazine Team in February of 2018 as a Photographer and Behind the Scene Press in July 2018 as a Photographer and Writer where I have completed my second album review of With Confidence's Love and Loathing. I joined Dark Matter Publications after they had me shoot State Champs on the Living Proof Tour 2019 in March 2019.
